WUCWO Day

WUCWO Day ENG 116 years committed to peace This year, the liturgy for 13 May, WUCWO Day, has been prepared by the North America Region; our special thanks go to our Regional Vice President, Barbara Dowding. The liturgy is simply a proposal and may be adapted to each situation and context. It may be celebrated on 13 May itself or on any other date, according to what best suits your organisation. What matters is that this occasion helps us become more aware of our belonging to WUCWO; to give thanks for the fruits achieved and to ask the Lord for his light for the steps ahead, and to strengthen our desire to walk together in our commitment to peace and in the shared mission of evangelisation and the integral development of women throughout the world. https://wucwo.org/en/wucwo-day-2026/

WUCWO Day 2026

The World Union of Catholic Women's Organizations (WUCWO) will celebrate 116 years of commitment to peace worldwide on May 13th.  In honour of that day, a liturgy has been prepared by the North America region, with special thanks to WUCWO Regional Vice President for North America and Honorary Life Member Barb Dowding. This liturgy is a suggestion and can be adapted to suit any situation. It may be celebrated on May 13th or on any other date. It is an opportunity to renew members’ awareness of their belonging to WUCWO, to give thanks for all its fruitful achievements, and to strengthen their commitment to walk together in peace and to the shared mission of evangelization and the development of women throughout the world.
