National Bursary Application Form (2023)
Dear Sisters in the League,
We are excited that many members are applying to pursue studies that will promote the objects of the League and applying for funding from the National Bursary Fund for assistance.
It was recognized by the bursary committee that the listed criteria was restrictive in what studies the bursary could fund. As well, it was realized that there may not be courses or programs of study with the listed criteria. Therefore, the bursary fund criteria is now the following:
“The bursary fund is used to provide financial assistance to members needing it to pursue studies, courses, seminars, conferences, workshops, and diploma/degree programs that align with and promote the Objects of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada.”
The Objects of the League shall be to unite the Catholic women of Canada:
- to achieve individual and collective spiritual development
- to promote the teachings of the Catholic church
- to exemplify the Christian ideal in home and family life
- to protect the sanctity of human life
- to enhance the role of women in church and society
- to recognize the human dignity of all people everywhere
- to uphold and defend Christian education and values in the modern world
- to contribute to the understanding and growth of religious freedom, social justice, peace and harmony
An updated national bursary application form has been enclosed to reflect these changes.
