Truth and Reconciliation Day

Oct 30, 2023 | Indigenous Resources, Spotlight

On September 30th, members of Our Lady of Assumption Parish Council (Arichat, NS) and St. Louis Parish Council (Louisdale, NS) met at Our Lady of the Rosary Park to celebrate the Season of Creation and Truth and Reconciliation Day.

The event began with the 2023 Season of Creation Prayer and they recited the rosary following the rosary “beads” laid out in the park. Using special intentions for each decade prepared by members, they gave thanks and prayed for God’s creation and our indigenous brothers and sisters. They ended with the Prayer for the Earth written by Pope Francis. It was a beautiful outing, enjoyed by all who participated.
