St. Patrick’s Parish Council (Carbonear, NL) began a new initiative to help the St. Vincent de Paul food bank. Each month the food bank informs the League of an item that is needed, and on the first Sunday of the month they bring these items to the church.
In June they provided soup, in July they donated fruit, in August they donated canned meat products, and September was lunch box snacks. Each month has been very successful, and with the help of the parishioners they will continue to support this worthy cause.
