Resolution 2002.11: Responsible Internet Use for Children

Whereas, The federal government has in place an initiative entitled Canadian Strategy to Promote Safe, Wise and Responsible Internet Use: Canada’s Five-Point Plan; and

Whereas, It is still possible for trusting and curious children to access pornographic and other offensive sites; therefore, be it

Resolved, That the national council of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada, in 82nd annual national convention assembled, encourage the federal government to continue supporting research and development of tools to protect children against offensive content on the Internet; and, be it further

Resolved, That the national council of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada, in 82nd annual national convention assembled, encourage members to educate themselves and their families on safe, wise and responsible Internet use.
