On September 29th, Our Lady of the Lake Parish Council (Blind Bay, BC) held a good old-fashioned Fall Supper. Many of their members grew up on the prairies and remember their mothers cooking turkeys for the local community Fall (or fowl) Supper with fond memories. It was a big event for their small council and while it was lots of work, it was also very rewarding.
The ladies served up a delicious turkey dinner and loads of opportunity for fellowship that was enjoyed by all. The event was supported by many local businesses who provided donations, discounts, or door prizes in the spirit of community. Funds raised will support the operation of their council and many charities as well. A 50/50 draw also raised money for the Carmelites of Armstrong.
