New Edition of League Prayers (#168): The 2020 edition of League Prayers sold out, providing an opportunity for the resource to be refreshed and made compliant with copyright. This was achieved through the assistance of appointed subcommittee members and National Spiritual Advisor Bishop Wayne Lobsinger (Hamilton). Members have gifted several prayers in the new edition. The League Prayers booklet is now available for purchase. Chairpersons are encouraged to promote the purchase and use of the prayer booklet by members for League gatherings and meetings.
Revisions to Ceremonies Handbook (#603): With the assistance of Bishop Lobsinger, the installation and reaffirmation ceremonies in this handbook have been revised using current church language, as well as the ceremony for the Installation of a Spiritual Advisor and the Rite on the Election of Officers. At the request of councils, the ceremony for archiving resolutions has been added. The handbook containing these and other revised ceremonies will be available from national office this summer.
Revisions to Handbook for Chairpersons of Faith, Service and Social Justice (#614): National officers are nearing completion of the first term under the League’s new organizational structure following the completion of the strategic plan. In response to member inquiries, national chairpersons of faith, service and social justice have collaborated in revising this handbook to provide a better understanding of the individual roles and responsibilities of each chairperson and to guide councils in setting priorities, deciding initiatives and benefiting from the collaboration of the chairpersons with the assistance and engagement of members in subcommittees. The handbook is now available in the member portal on the national website.
Prayer for Discernment to Nominate (#742): At the request of provincial presidents, the enclosed prayer has been developed to assist councils at all levels to discern their nominations in the elections process for a new executive.
