“The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest” (Mt 9.37). Pope Leo XIV echoed those words, saying Jesus “reminds us of the importance of the mission to which we are all called, each according to our own vocation and in the particular situations in which the Lord has placed us,” … and that the church and the world “need labourers who are eager to work in the mission field, loving disciples who bear witness to the kingdom of God in all places.” The Holy Father urges Catholics to prioritize their relationship with the Lord and cultivate their dialogue with him through prayer.
