On June 11, the Ottawa Diocesan Council and the Alexandria-Cornwall Diocesan Council amalgamated into the new Ottawa-Cornwall Diocesan Council.
Linda Squarzolo, Ontario Provincial Council President presided over elections and procedures for the amalgamation. Members attending were invited to sign and become charter members of the new diocesan council.
Archbishop Marcel Damphousse celebrated Mass and the installation of the new executive.
