It is with great sadness that the Catholic Women’s League of Canada received the news of the death of Pope Francis. Our first response is gratitude to God for the life and ministry of His Holiness. We are particularly grateful for his witness to the dignity and care for the marginalized members of our society and the underlying message of God’s unending mercy in all he said and did. We pray, that God will grant Pope Francis the reward of a good and faithful servant. May he rest in peace.
