A Heart Full of Thanksgiving: A Message from National President Betty Colaneri
As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, my heart will be filled with gratitude for the many blessings God has so generously placed in our lives.
Among the blessings for which I am especially thankful is the gift of sisterhood I share with the members of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada. From coast to coast to coast, I continue to be inspired by women who generously give of their time, talents and hearts in service to God, the church and Canada.
Throughout my travels and encounters with members, I have witnessed the faith, joy, compassion and dedication that make our sisterhood so special. You continually remind me that when women of faith come together with a shared purpose, wonderful things can happen. I am deeply grateful for the privilege of walking alongside you.
This Thanksgiving, may we also remember those who are struggling—the poor, the lonely, the grieving, the marginalized and all those longing for hope. May our gratitude move beyond words and inspire us to continue sharing God’s love through our actions. May our hearts continue to burn with love for Christ and with a desire to serve one another.
I thank God for each of you, for all you do in His name, for our wonderful League and for the friendship and sisterhood we share.
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus bless you for the countless ways you continue to serve God and Canada.
