105th Annual National Convention – Saturday August 9th

Aug 10, 2025 | Conventions, In the News, Media, News Releases, Present Convention

Warm smiles were found all around with members greeting each other at the registration desk for the start of the 105th Annual National Convention! All were happy to meet new faces and catch up with dear friends.

Later in the evening, members were delighted to attend the Famous PEOPLE Players show, a glow-in-the-dark dinner theatre. They enjoyed a hearty and tasty chicken dinner as they listened to founder, Diane Dupuy speak on why she started the theatre and how it connected to her Catholic upbringing. She wanted to have a place where people with disabilities can shine and share their talents. All of the waiters, chefs, and performers who work at the dinner theatre are people who have “exceptionalities”. Guests of the show were moved by their kindness and the mesmerizing show they performed after the dinner. Featuring black light, creative props and puppets, musical numbers were performed that brought joy to all. It was a dazzling spectacle!
