The first plenary day of the 106th annual national convention was busy and spiritually fulfilling.
The day began with Mass and an inspiring homily from Most Rev. Wayne Kirkpatrick (Antigonish), who wove the life of St. Lawrence into the League’s mission.
Following greetings from National President Betty Colaneri and several guests, keynote speaker and Quebec Provincial Spiritual Advisor Dr. Cory Andrew Labrecque’s inspiring presentation connected the national theme, Ignite Your Passion, Empower His Mission, with the importance of words, particularly dignity, vulnerability and presence.
The afternoon included the Resolutions Dialogue, the presentation of cheques from the national voluntary funds to recipient organizations and the commissioning of new life members.
What a joyful evening! League members and guests embraced East Coast hospitality at a lively kitchen party filled with food, music, dancing, laughter and plenty of fun. It was a wonderful celebration of friendship and sisterhood!
