DESCRIPTION:National Blood Donor Week is observed June 8–14\, with World Blood Donor Day celebrated on June 14th. The week recognizes the generosity of voluntary blood donors whose donations help save lives every day through surgeries\, cancer treatments\, emergency care and ongoing medical needs. \nAs summer approaches and the need for blood and plasma grows\, this is an excellent opportunity to promote the League’s “Partners for Life” team and encourage members\, their families and parishioners to consider becoming donors.
