Resolved, That the national council of The Catholic Women's League of Canada, in 85th annual national convention assembled, urge Canada Post to include a Nativity-related theme in its future Christmas stamp issues.

•  write letters to Canada Post suggesting the inclusion of a Nativity-related theme in future Christmas stamp issues and mail to:
Chairperson of the Stamp Advisory Committee
Canada Post Corporation
2701 Riverside Drive, Suite N1070
Ottawa ON K1A 0B1
•  copy the letter to the prime minister, minister of national revenue and your member of parliament
•  invite a member of your local philatelic society to share information about the creation of stamps in Canada
•  meet with curriculum consultants or other appropriate school board staff members and develop a CWL educational unit that contains: a ?competition? for the younger students ? they could design a stamp that would be placed on a Christmas letter to a pen pal from another country. Older students could be encouraged to research the subject of stamps according to the policies established by the Canada Post Corporation. They could design a stamp series that reflects the diversity within the Christian communities of Canada and perhaps invite a staff person to their class to work with them or judge their efforts.
•  encourage members to go to their local Canada Post outlets and start asking for stamps with a religious theme pertaining to the feast of Christmas now
•  have a Christmas card bee and send Christmas cards with religious stamps to older League members, members of your parish community; contact the spiritual care person/chaplain of your closest long-term care/seniors/chronic care facility and together do a Christmas card for each resident/patient ? everyone loves to get mail!
