Protection of Human LifeSubmitted by: Alberta Mackenzie and New Brunswick Provincial Councils
Whereas, In view of its inherent dignity, human life at all its stages deserves legal protection; and
Whereas, Genetic and biological science shows that human life begins with the process of fertilization; and
Whereas, The life of any child who survives an attempted abortion should be protected; therefore, be it
Resolved, That the national council of The Catholic Women's League of Canada, in 84th annual national convention assembled, urge the federal government to
- recognize that human life begins with the process of fertilization
- enact legislation prohibiting the termination of human life at any stage of development.

Requested Members' Action:
Write letters to federal ministers of health and justice urging legislation that recognizes that human life begins at fertilization and prohibits killing of human life at any stage; send a copy of your letter to your member of parliament and the prime minister.
