Healthy Living for Life

Whereas, Physical inactivity is associated with heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, adult-onset diabetes, osteoporosis, stroke, depression and colon cancer; and
Whereas, Regular activity results in better health and continued independent living in later life; therefore, be it
Resolved, That the national council of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada, in 83rd annual national convention assembled, encourage parish councils to promote fitness programs and disseminate information on a healthy, active life style to all members.
Requested Members' Action:
Become aware of and participate in fitness programs.
Look for regular good health hints in future issues of The Canadian League.
Consider participating in three types of activities: endurance, flexibility and strength.
