Pontifical Missionary Work for ChildrenWhereas, Mission education programs promoted at the elementary school level during the formative years of children's learning can instill in them the desire to share with others, and also encourage a sense of justice and respect for the dignity of all persons; and
Whereas, The pontifical missionary work for children, Mission Hope, formerly known as the Holy Childhood Association, is the only organization specifically established to provide mission educational materials within the elementary school system for ?Children Helping Children;? therefore, be it
Resolved, That the national council of The Catholic Women's League of Canada, in 56th annual national convention assembled, affirm the support of the pontifical missionary work for children, and promote its objectives by urging that parish councils of the League be instrumental in integrating this mission program into present religious education; and, be it further
Resolved, That church life committees be responsible for its introduction to religious consultants and teachers in their respective areas and where possible, to their school boards and/or diocesan departments of religious education.
