Resolution - 1958.04 Whereas, it was the wish of the Late Holy Father, Pope Pius XII, that the Catholic women make their influence felt in public life, through participation in activities outside of the domestic sphere: be it Resolved, by The Catholic Women's League of Canada in 38th annual national convention assembled at Vancouver that we strive to have our entire membership acquire a better knowledge of the Social Doctrine of the Church by means of study clubs and constructive reading; endeavouring also to become more spiritually prepared to work with Christian tolerance and understanding for the good of all, in keeping with our motto ?For God and Canada.?
